Can someone please explain the day one start of birth control pills?

I understand the first pack but what i don't understand is the second pack, when do you start that one? It cant be on the first day of your period because you are taking a blank pill, this is very confusing. Can someone please explain the day one start of birth control pills?
i am not an expert but when the first pack runs out..and you have taken all of the blank pill (7) then you start the next pack. doesnt really matter what your period is doing. that was only for the first pack. Can someone please explain the day one start of birth control pills?
Most BC pills are arranged in 28 day segments or exactly 4 weeks of 7 days

Week 1 pre-ovulation... the week after mensy, time of hormonal stabilization

Week 2 ovulation... most fertile time and purpose of hormone manipulation

Week 3 post ovulation... the week before mensy, time of hormonal fluctuation

Week 4 menstruation... sugar pills to allow body a natural reset

You must complete one whole 28 day cycle for your body to effectively utilize hormonal control, and you should be able to consult your pharmacist or back of the package for additional information
You finish the entire first pack, and you should be taking the sugar pills by the time you are on your period (these contain no hormones, they are to take just so you can keep the schedule up, and not forget) and as soon as the first pack is gone, you start the second pack, even if you are still have your period.
Alright-

you have your three weeks of active, red pills, then a week of white sugar pills right? You're on your period when you're taking the white ones.

I believe you begin taking the first pack (the red ones) after the last day of your period. Consult the packaging.
Actually I think you might be referring to the two different ways to begin birth control, either the Sunday start or Day One. Sunday means to start your pills the Sunday after your period (if you start on Sunday then you start the pills that day). Day One means to start your pills the day you start your period.
You just keep continuing right after the last one. You take a pill every single day so when one pack runs out, you just continue the next pack the next day.
Just keep going. If you ever want to SKIP a period just dont take the blank ones.. BUT you should not do that very often.. type BREAK THRU BLEEDING into GOOGLE..
