What would a credit control job involve?

I've seen one advertised and wondered what is involved in credit control. This is for a small business. Is it to do with invoicing customers and chasing up invoices etc?

it means determining how much credit you should give a customer based on their size and how quikcly they pay their invoices. i suppose you would need to make sure they pay on time, send reminders, try to make the payment terms as low as possible so your company gets their money quicker
You main work is to manage that credits given to customers are paid when they are due for payment. Things to do with debt collection.
