Okay Sweetie....Why didn't they cover this in your health class at school....Go to a search engine and type in ';Birth Control Pills'; or Wikipedia....that will give you an informed definition....Here is Mama Bear's definition....A little pill that keeps the period regular and stops a female from procreating before she is ready.....and just so you know Babes...wear a condom or you can catch something Ajax won't take off...

birth control pills prevent the release of an egg to the uterus so that there is no egg for the sperm to fertilize when you have sex. women take them for more reasons than to just prevent pregnancy. It helps control emotions, acne, and maintain a more regular period.
the pills control a woman ovulation cycle, when an egg is released. women take them in hopes of not getting pregnant........as a young male do not forget to wrap it up!

just b/c she takes the pill doesn't mean she cant get pregnant or that the two of you cant pass STD';s

so wrap your present before you stick it under the tree!
keeps you from having babies
Oh come on...how old are you really?
They take them so we don't have a population explosion say like China. Nothing against the Chinese.
LOL Women take them to not get pregnant. Though, they don't always work.... But they release certain hormones, and every 2 weeks there are sugar pills in place of the normal pills which are supposed to control when you menstruate.
Not all women take them to prevent pregnancy. Some take pills to regulate their periods and make them less crampy. Others use them to relieve the symptoms of endometriosis. There's also a birth control pill that can reduce the number of periods a woman has every year. If I were younger, I'd definitely check into them.
