How do you control breathlessness during exercise?

I play lots of sports and one of them is camogie. (An Irish sport like hockey) If i get hit or run like mad for 2 minutes I get badly winded and can't breathe. How to I stop this because it never happens to any one else and it's quite embrassing in front of the lads. Help please.How do you control breathlessness during exercise?

Are You Sure You Dont Have Asthma??

When a person with asthma comes into contact with something that irritates their airways (an asthma trigger), the muscles around the walls of the airways tighten so that the airways become narrower and the lining of the airways becomes inflamed and starts to swell. Sometimes sticky mucus or phlegm builds up which can further narrow the airways.

Three questions can help you to identify whether your symptoms are under control:-

In the last month:

Have you had difficulty sleeping because of your asthma symptoms (including cough)

Have you had your usual asthma symptoms during the day (cough, wheeze, chest tightness or breathlessness)

Has your asthma interfered with your usual activities - eg housework, work, school etc;
For one, mom's nurse is not a very reliable source to base a medical decision on. I can probably get the same advice asking a nurse at the front door of my local Triage. It is nothing more than a guess unless you are examined by a doctor for that specific problem.

If you smoke that could very well be an issue you'll want to deal with ( Quit ).

Are you sure you are not so focused on your own breathing that you are actually controlling it yourself?

Kind of like focusing on your own eye blinking to the point you prevent it from happening naturally.

The simple and safest answer here is '; Get Checked By A

Doctor'; and don't get casual opinions from everyone you know...or take too much out of this other than ' Get Checked By A Doctor.';
