How do pest (insect) control lights work? Are they harmful when used in bedrooms?

Is it safe to buy one of those 'ultra-sound' lights that kill insects indoors? How do they work? Will they work if there are annoying bugs around the bed area? How do pest (insect) control lights work? Are they harmful when used in bedrooms?
Yes they do work but it all depends on the type of unit u buy. I work in pest control and we use units that have flouro lights in them with sticky pads behind the lights...the ones that have the electronic bars are great but not effective on small insects such as fruit flies.

They other important thing to remember is the placement of the unit...I would reccomend placing it at head height...thats where the insects fly, if u have it too high u wont record as high a catch record. We use these units in bakeries , food production areas, stables etc

The most common reason for pest control products failing when used by the public is incorrect use...u need to understand a little bit about the pest u are trying to kill and use that knowledge when trying to eradicate them

I never heard of one person that said they worked except on T.V.
