Does taking birth control change your fertility when you come off the pill?

I need to go on the pill for 2 months, then come off this summer to have a baby. Will this make it harder to have a baby this summer?Does taking birth control change your fertility when you come off the pill?
The ';pill'; has the lowest side effects on fertility. Usually your body will go right back to normal after not taking it, which is the reason that doctors always say to take it at certain times everyday and not to miss a pill. I missed a couple pills and now I have a 15 month old ha ha. If you were on depo, ';the shot'; your fertility would be affected for a few months after not being on it.Does taking birth control change your fertility when you come off the pill?
It can make it harder. I was on the pill for 12 years then went off it to concieve. I found that it took me 5 months to get a normal period then the following periods were quite irregular. Eventually i got pregnant after about a year and then went on to have 3 miscarriages (apparently not related to the pill so don't worry!). Some women can fall pregnant instantly after coming off the pill so it's really dependent on your individual body. Hopefully your natural cycle will return quickly unlike mine. Good luck!
Well, everyone is different I came off the pill after 10 years and fell pregnant within 2 weeks!!! so it doesnt always make it harder but some are not so lucky and take up to a year to fall. good luck.
Not always, new research shows that many women are extremely fertile when they come off the pill. I was pregnant within 6 weeks of stopping!! I came off the pill to get treatment for my Endometriosis so I could try to conceive in the next 2 years (very difficult for Endo sufferers to do naturally) but a miracle happened and now I am 39 weeks pregnant!

Good luck with everything.
Not sure about just two months. Dont seem as though there would be much change in your system.

However, i know friends who were on the pill for years and then came off to conceive. It took about 7-8 months after coming off to get pregnant, as the chemicals from the pills had to leave their body.

I would check with a doctor and see if there are other alternatives if u wish to plan your conception time.

For that short period of time, why not use condoms?

Good luck to u.
Yes it increases the chances of you getting pregnant once use discontinue use. But I would use an ovulation test to determine the best time to begin conception. Sometimes the pill causes you to gain weight. I just recently lost 85 lbs for the summer and I look great! So I discourage anything that will add on pounds. lol Good Luck!
